It has been a terrible week for financial consultants – four directors of Barclays on criminal charges? 

 Not only is the charge sheet eerily similar to the Guinness four – financial assistance or “whitewash” but it risks defining our industry in the same way as the Guinness Trials defined the 1990’s. You may think banks are the enemy – but customers see IFAs as part of the same industry.

The key to the IFA world is to keep close to your customers.  

If you lose them, they have a high propensity to find another adviser and then complain.

The vast majority never leave, are well looked after and provide immense job satisfaction for all involved.
