The FCA fees are due to go up next year to £2200 minimum for all the full permission installers.

This is an increase from £350 per annum last year. A 6.5X increase. 

Those with limited permissions will see increase from £250 to £1100 – a 4.5X increase.

Please note this is a consultation paper, not the actual rules.  Replies can be sent in before end January, see here. 

It is not fair and clearly a cross subsidy to the rest of industry is being used.   The timing is particularly alarming….The final date for resigning is 31st March 2022, but the FCA say in their consultation that they will publish their rules “in our Handbook Notice in March 2022 or in the March/April 2022 CP on fee-rates.” (page 5)  

So these rates may or may not be applied, and we won’t find out until after the event.
